Hello, fellow campaigners of the writing world! Today, I want to share with you my newly updated Spotify with playlists for writing.
I know I recently wrote about this either on my blog or my newsletter, but since then, I’ve discovered that sometimes having just one playlist for my project doesn’t work.
As you can see below, I have many playlists that end in “| Uncitizens” which shows which book it is for. Some are obvious, like Tuckerton, Iowa. That’s my Hattie Phelan writing playlist. Some are for projects I’ve yet to work on, but the most recent are the “| Uncitizens” ones which are curated for not only MOOD of the books, but location.

Sometimes when writing Uncitizens, I want something more happy and upbeat so I’d go to Riirii X’Eaa. More whimsical and nostalgic? Jjjeeerrroooaaaa. Serious and epic? 32nd Order. Corsuth is more like the 80s synthwave and Persyth is strings, synth, and more serious. Space travel is anything that sounds like just that: Traveling in space. Expedition Nu is more of a mix of it all and is a specific soundtrack for a separate book.
There is also my Christian Contemporary idea, Kraken’s Coast, which features a lot of good instrumentals that are too modern for historical fiction, but to basic for scifi. Whimsical worlds has a bunch of albums that are amazing as well as singular songs that fit the theme. The Feels playlist includes my favorite songs (some Christian and some secular, but all pretty clean).
Plights O’ The Round Table is a comedy fantasy idea that is on the backburner since I have 20,000 other projects to do. Arrogance of Elegance is the Wattpad book I have posted set in Regency England. Almerland is another fantasy playlist, but is more cultural music in it.

I know this is short, but I’ve been super busy and this is all I have time for. Soon, I should update you on my life, but as of right now, that isn’t a possibility.
Do you make playlists for your WIPs?
Salutations, fellow adventurers!
Respectfully,
