Waffle Cones and Boxed Water | A Poem

Hello, fellow campaigners of the writing world! Today, I wanted to share something quick and simple, so I thought I’d share some poetry with you!

We sat in silence in the bright ice cream parlor,

with our free waffle cones and our pricey boxed water.

I cried over our day and what drew ever near,

We decided to pray, pushing back against fear.

Tear-stained eyes and a heart now of iron,

We would take on the day with the boldness of lions,

And now I’ll remember that bright ice cream parlor,

with our free waffle cones and our pricey boxed water.

circa. March 2022

This was written after a traumatic event in my life which was hard, but my family, friends, and God helped me through it.

Salutations, fellow adventurers!

Respectfully,
