A. F. Kopp (a. k. a. Aggie) is an avid creator with a love of the Lord and creating worlds to tell truth-filled stories in. Kopp lives with her family in central Illinois, hanging out with friends as often as she can.

In her free time, she loves to binge Marvel, DC, and Star Wars movies and shows. She enjoys reading Jane Austen, Douglas Adams, and a plethora of indie authors.

Nine chapters in and LOVING IT. AMAZE AMAZE AMAZE. I love Ryland Grace so much more in the book than yhe movie—don’t get me wrong, I LOVE HIM IN THE MOVIE TOO, but to see the processing going on in his head, I believe he is actually a great scientist that he claims to be. And to see the writing and foreshadowing is awesome. I am taking notes.

Some of the clips I took on my camera during the trip.

Craziest moment was driving through the storm front in Nebraska. I have seen fronts that could be tornados before in Illinois, BUT MAN these clouds were monstrous in comparison.
I got to live my childhood dream if being a storm chaser though it was involuntary this time. I got so many clips.

We went through two Lincolns in one day (my old hometown Lincoln, IL and Lincoln, Nebraska). Very fun.

The mystery, the writing, the intrigue, the characters, the soundtrack, the cinematography…I left the theater astounded.

A random lil post, but I thought you all might be interested in hearing the first voice recording I made about my scifi comedy, Project Scope. Jekkh and Interface Epsilon have pretty much remained the same, though Ronrii’s role has shifted from bumbling antagonistic warrior to a rebel leader’s adopted child, to where he is now: a jester who yearns for the courtroom (he wants to be a lawyer).

It’s so funny to me to see how this has shifted over the years, but it is something that I always try to honor as well. A lot of times, I change things up, but one consistent thought I have in all of this is to keep the original vibe and goofiness of the first idea.

What should I post next?

Loving something can be a choice. Sometimes I have to choose to continue writing DESPITE what I feel in the moment. Not because I want to punish myself, but because I know it is my calling and I KNOW it is fruitful. And deep down, I know I love it. I love the worlds in my head and the stories I have to tell. Sometimes the journey sucks, but it is worth it in the end.

Got a decent amount of writing done, a couple side projects for projects Scope are in the works, and my schedule will HOPEFULLY get more consistent over the next few weeks. I started drawing my characters and I will say it has been something that I have been doing BEFORE writing. I am having too much fun and it is also very calming for me. Writing is neither calming nor stressful, but it uses my head more. With drawing I can just relax, listen to music, and let my hands lead. No overthinking. Just doing.

Overcoming a lot of fears lately. And a lot of cool opportunities 🤍

Life has been sorta crazy lately. I am almost done prepping the Arrogance of Elegance for publishing, but because of the expenses needed for writing, I have neglected other needs.

I need to buy a car. I am almost done with that, so the release might be off by a month or two so that I can do everything the right way.

So, hopefully I will release AoE before the end of the year. But please bear with me 🤍

There is so much to unpack about tropes and themes and things I like to see in fiction. I could make a post soooo long about it, but decided to keep the slides to as much of a minimum as I could.

I might make a part two sometime, but these are definitely my favorite.

1. Grumpy x sunshine. If done right, it is my fave trope. Almost all of my favorite couples to write, read, or watch are this usually.

2. Redemption arcs. Love me a good redemption story. It is a good lesson to learn from. To let go of judgments and LET someone be redeemed in your eyes is a beautiful and hard journey.

3. Reversal arcs. Also, to acknowledge that this happens is important. I know a lot of people don’t like this, but as someone who has briefly studied sociology and psychology, I find it so intriguing and IMPORTANT for us to look at the reasons people are the way they are. I don’t want to glorify it by any means, but I would be lying when I say I don’t find these POVs and Arcs to be interesting.

4. Unreliable narrators. I am relatively new to this trope, but the concept intrigues me. Idk if my book is considered this, but the way the MC presents the world is a bit wrong and misleading.

5. Tearing down toxic structures from the middle ground. I know there is good and bad in many things, but I love watching and reading about approaching the structure of the world from a healthy perspective. Maybe it is the sociology/psychology nerd within me.
